Stepping Rings

Stepping rings allow filters of different sizes to be fitted to lenses.
The standard naming system has the lense's filter size first followed by the filter's filter size. So a 40.5mm - 49mm will allow a 49mm filter fit a lens with a 40.5mm filter size. These are especially useful when lenses like Sony's 16-50mm lens has an odd 40.5mm size.
